There is no storage availability with pedestal sinks, so you’ll have to be creative about storing things in your bathroom when you install a pedestal sink.

Above the counter sinks

As you might guess from their name, these sinks sit on top of a counter, and generally have mounted faucets on top of the sink, the counter, or the backsplash. These type of raised sinks will allow for less bending over in the bathroom, and will make it more comfortable for household members to retrieve things from the countertop. They are available in a wide variety of sizes and styles, and they’re very easy to swap out, if you should decide to replace your bathroom sink at any point in the future. Self rimming sinks

Self rimming sinks are dropped into the countertop, and they each have a rim or lip which extends over the top. Because these type of sinks are always installed on the countertop, there’s usually plenty of room to accommodate various bathroom items such as soap, toothbrushes, and makeup kits.

Under mount sinks

Under mount sinks are always installed through an opening in your countertop, which leaves the lip of the sink hidden from view. These type of sinks provide a seamless, uninterrupted surface view for any countertop in your bathroom, and they are very easy to clean when spills occur or when dirt and grime accumulate on the countertop. They are a bit more difficult to install than some other types of sinks, but as long as you have a qualified professional doing the work, you’ll have no issues.
